Surface Mount Assemblies Technology Test Boards Board Layout Prototype PCB SMT Assembly Contract Manufacturing Prototyping Turnkey Production Line & Process Distron has over a decade of experience manufacturing surface mount assembly technology. For flexibility and throughput we have two surface mount assembly (SMT) lines, a Mydata line and a Philips line. Both SMT lines can be used interchangeably if capacity is an issue. This dual capability gives us a distinct advantage over our competition.

The Mydata surface mount assembly (SMT) line is used for rapid prototypes and smaller volume orders. It allows for quick setup and easy change over between jobs. Mydata is designed to provide placement capability of all component and package types including BGAs and ultra fine pitch devices. It has advanced features like "smart" feeders that verify component values, a high speed "hydra head" and feeders that readily accepts strips without a leader.

It is used for larger kits and for high placement count assemblies or surface mount assemblies with fine pitch BGAs. Multiple cameras and camera angles allow for a high level of placement accuracy suitable for BGAs and fine pitch devices. Philips provides an optimization software package that increase throughput and reduces manufacturing cycle time.
